Block Clubs & NNO
National Night Out in Waite Park
National Night Out is an annual nationwide event that encourages residents to hold a block party, get to know their neighbors, build community and promote crime prevention. It's a great way to promote community-police partnerships and enjoy a Minnesota summer evening surrounded by friends, family and your neighbors.
Minneapolis has been #1 in the United States for National Night Out for several years in the past!
Back in 2011, Minneapolis held 1175 events in the city, with 60,500 people participating. Events took place in all of Minneapolis' 87 neighborhoods on 2500 blocks. We placed first in the nation for cities with 300,000 or more residents.
Whether it's your first time planning an event or you're continuing a tradition of years on your block, keep this link bookmarked: www.minneapolismn.gov/nno . You can download flyers, and register your event. You can also call 311 to register you NNO party.
