Join your Northeast neighbors and folks from all over the
Twin Cities at the 3rd Annual Push Cart Derby at Waite Park on
September 10. Put together a team of three people, build a sturdy cart and
bring it to the Waite Park field at 11:00 to enter the race. The winning team
in the derby will receive $200! Second place will receive $100 and third place
will receive a sweet swag bag filled with prizes and coupons from area
retailers and other groups. There will also be a $100 prize awarded for the
Most Creative push carts.
TO ENTER:
Build yourself a durable cart that
can be pushed on grass and can turn.
Get together a team of three
people, two pushers and one "driver" (All team members must be over 10 years of
age and members under 18 must have parent/guardian approval, all team members
must wear helmets to participate).
Join us for registration at 11:00
AM at Waite Park to register your cart and begin racing!
Need help? Join us on August 13 for "Learn the Basics of Building a Push Cart" workshop on August 13, at 1:00 pm at Columbia Gardens (3301 Central Avenue NE).
Get your friends and neighbors together and buckle up for an
afternoon of racing. Hang around after the Derby and join in the Fall Festival
with food, music and games for the kids.
