Waite Park Community Council Meeting: August 5

At the Waite Park Community Council meeting on August 5, Councilman Paul Ostrow will be on hand to discuss the progress of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program that is currently underway in the first ward. The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) is a nationwide program that was established for the purpose of stabilizing communities that have suffered from foreclosures and abandonment. Councilman Ostrow will also discuss the proposed streetlight fee and provide updates on other city news.
At the September 2 Waite Park Community Council meeting, Carol Oosterhuis, Crime Prevention Specialist from the Second Police Precinct, will be on hand to discuss the neighborhood policing plan for Waite Park. This discussion is a great opportunity to meet with Carol and brainstorm ways that individuals and blocks can address livability crime issues and craft ways to partner with the police to make our neighborhood safe.
The Waite Park Community Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., in the Waite Park Community Center at 1810 34th Ave. NE. We hope to see you there!
