Part One Crimes in the 2nd Precinct are up 10.42% this week when
compared to the same time period one year ago. Year to date, Part One
Crimes in the 2nd Precinct are up 22.71%. During the week there were
1084 calls for service and 85 arrests. There were 110 traffic
Enforcements in the precinct during the week.

There have been nine smash and grab burglaries of Central Avenue
Businesses in the past 20 days. Most have occurred after midnight.
Loss has been small items or cash from registers.
Crime Prevention Tips:
* Remove money from property
* Leave your cash register drawer open
* Maintain adequate lighting, especially at vulnerable entry points
* Call 911 if you witness any suspicious activity
