Dear Northeast Neighborhood Organization,

Planning for the 2005 Celebrate Northeast Parade on June 21 has begun and we need your help. This is the 76th Anniversary of our community parade and we would like to get the Northeast neighborhood organizations more involved in the planning of “the look and the tradition” of the parade because your organization truly defines what our community is all about. As the coordinating organization for the parade for the past several years, we feel it is important to have your input.

A 35-member planning committee is already in place but we lack representation from the various neighborhoods that comprise our community. Your commitment would be one meeting per month for approximately 1 ½ hours from February to June. Please pass this request along to your board, staff and residents. Please publicize our request in any of your neighborhood communication pieces. Plan to have representation in the decision making process of the single most well attended one day event in Northeast this year. I would be happy to contact any interested people if you would provide me with their names and phone numbers.
